In this blog post we provide an overview of the Abassian ecosystem. We outline our vision, our utility blockchain and detail some specific roadmap milestones.
Judging from our EVM based utility blockchain someone may label Abassian as a plain go-ethereum fork at first. We invite you to keep reading to show you why that is not the case.
Abassian is an ecosystem of blockchain applications that allows enterprises to experiment, iterate and deploy products quickly and safely. We abstract the blockchain complexity so you can focus on building great apps.
Long term the Abassian roadmap is structured in three phases.
Phase 1: Creating the Abassian blockchain ecosystem
Aquila product line
Aquila, provides enterprise Ethereum Virtual Machine based blockchains which are heavily modified versions of the Ethereum Virtual Machine to fit certain enterprise use cases.
We started with Shuffle where we took the go-ethereum implementation and abstracted it in modular components to enable interchangeable consensus. Basically, you can plug and play any consensus algorithm you want.
Huron builds upon Shuffle and is a Go implementation of the Hashgraph consensus algorithm. Now you have Ethereum boosted by Hedera hashgraph consensus algorithm.
We needed more consensus flexibility for enterprises therefore we developed:
Vulcan and Saphir a Proof of Authority consensus and Proof of stake consensus.
When you go pitch to an enterprise, one question the CTO will ask: “is my customer data safe?” We customised a solution for that important requirement — Rhino: a Privacy EVM based blockchain.
What about upgrades?
Scalability — We are working on Layer 2 scaling solutions to ship with our blockchain offerings (Q4 2019)
Ease of use — We are developing various Dapp Software Development Kits (Q3 2019)
What about interoperability? — We have planned a Cosmos Integration using IBC protocol in Q4 2019. Also, all out product line blockchains are built with interoperability features in mind.
Other Features — We are working on a Smart Contracts Marketplace (think uPort, Civic, .etc) so you can choose what you built in on your network at deploy time.
Production ready — Once you build your own flavor of blockchain enjoy a one click deployment on our Blockchain Cloud deployment and Provisioning Platform due in Q1 2020
Pegasus Blockchain
Pegasus Blockchain is our own modded build of enterprise blockchain. It features modular components based on a microservice architecture exchanging information through a message bus.
You have everything you would want beginning with scalability to smart contracts being compatible with our Aquila EVM line but is not based on Ethereum.

Corvus Product Line
We want to know what use cases and pain points enterprise companies have. Hence with Corvus we develop enterprise data tools and custom software plugins for Hyperledger Fabric, Quorum and R3 Corda.
For example If you are a company using Hyperledger but your use case require a custom solution. We will work to provide that custom solution building trust and maturing a partnership.
Phase 2. - A fully managed service to create and manage scalable blockchain networks
Apple won as it made simple things effortless. For us this phase is all about making it easy for developers and enterprise to use blockchain technologies. The main focus is the Abassian Blockchain Business Cloud and making every protocol and solution interoperable. We want Aquila, Pegasus and Corvus part of an ecosystem bound by same API’s, interchangeable, modular, infrastructure.
We are also working on launching an incubator to provide growth-oriented enterprises essential business incubation services and access to industry-specific development resources through its connection to Abassian. We identify blockchain projects that develop innovative products and services and invite them to join our Incubator to accelerate their growth and development. Details on this will be revealed soon.
Phase 3. - A different protocol for every business outcome, use case, or application.
On phase III we are creating a turn key suite of blockchain solutions for different industries. We will release a comprehensive blockchain platform for businesses and developers to seamlessly make use of a wide variety of blockchain-based functionality in one place.
The intuitive ability of IoT. The cognitive power of AI and machine learning . And the infallible memory of blockchain. Each has the potential to break and rebuild business models and processes, but together, they’re completely transformative — capable of turning every industry, sector, and line of business on its head. A technologically enabled future has arrived. Our aim is to make all transformative technologies powerfully simple to put to work. We are going to release a whitepaper describing how we plan to merge this transformative trio and embed it into our infrastructure.
