Hello! I’m Abby, a writer and teacher living in Birmingham in the U.K. I love my city! It’s vibrant, thriving and diverse, with lots of peaceful, green spaces spread among the cityscape. In fact, I’m sitting at my desk overlooking a beautiful lake and flourishing trees as I write this. After lots of years travelling and wandering, it’s good to feel like I’m finally home.

As well as writing and teaching, I’m an avid reader and I love to share what’s inspiring me. So if you’re looking for something new to read (or listen to), check out what I’m reading.

One of my favourite quotes comes from Fredrich Buechner:

‘Here is the world. Beautiful and terrible things will happen. Don’t be afraid.’

So I write to explore and discover, to inspire and encourage, to find hope and light in the beautiful, the terrible and the messy middle in between. I write to uncover what human flourishing looks like and how we can engage with the resources of the Christian tradition to shape our lives and our culture towards love and shalom.

If you want to keep in touch, I’m easy to find on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

If you’d like to keep up with my writing, please subscribe to my site by entering your email in the box below. I’ll be sure to send you a note when I post something new.

Thank you for being here. You are so welcome.
