Since the release of Aoraki, or testnet v1.0a, there have been some updates on the Abelian code and the new cryptographic signature scheme from our academic partners.

Abelian Update to Monero v0.14.1.0

Recently, Monero released a new version of the software with a variety of new features to make the codebase much more stable. You can find the release here. Meanwhile, the Abelian codebase has been updated regarding this new release.

We are also waiting for Monero’s official release of v0.14.1.2, by then a final merge is expected to be done to Abelian. The team will also change the signature scheme from Dilithium to a new and fresh Lattice-based signature scheme named SALRS.

The team has been always doing researches on the solutions of scalability, due to the large key and signature sizes. One thing we are looking into is Pruning, which is available in Monero’s latest release. We are looking into making this work in Abelian, which should be available in future iterations.

With that being said, we are really open to suggestions, and will give a bounty proposal for the scalability problem or the whole codebase as well.

Initial Release of Lattice-based Signatures SALRS

We are proud to announce the initial release of SALRS which is our Lattice-based signature scheme. The team is now working on integrating the code to Abelian.

You can find the source code here: https://github.com/salrs/salrs

Feel free to do some tests and post some improvements if there are any.
