The announcement of renaming Abelian ERC20 token from “ABE Token” to “Abelian”
Dear Abelian community,
About a year ago, we launched the Abelian ERC20 token called ABE Token. We then disseminated some tokens to our supporters as a preparatory stage towards launching the Abelian main network. In July last year, we rolled out an alpha version of Abelian called Abelian v1.0a, codename “Aoraki”. After that we have continued working on both research and development. As the project evolves, we have rewritten the entire codebase and also restructured in a fundamental way the entire Abelian blockchain so that it sounds cryptographically and performs practically. Today, we are getting one step closer towards launching the Abelian main network.
In the meantime, we believe that it is also time for us to review the name of our ERC20 token and fix a couple of other loose strings as well. For all of our supporters, who are holding the ABE Token ERC20 coins, you probably have received some new tokens under a different ERC20 smart contract address, called Abelian. Yes, we have just created a new Abelian ERC20 token, which is simply called Abelian, with exactly the same symbol ABE. It looks trivial at the first glance, but actually, this is strategically important, as this symbolizes the official designation of the token name, Abelian. From now on, we will all use this new ERC-20 token in place of the old one.
Below, we list out the details so that you can add in the new ERC20 wallet accordingly, while looking forward to participating in the deployment of our Abelian main network very soon.
- The old ABE under the name “ABE Token” is now replaced with new ABE under the name “Abelian” at the rate of 1:1;
- All the holders have received new ABE at the rate of 1:1. The old ABE has become invalid. (If there is any missing, please contact us by email: info@abelianfoundation.org)
