Placements and Kilmaloo

Our students are all away on placements around the various Abernethy centres at the moment, so we just wanted to give a quick update about how they are getting on.

They started out their placements with some training here at Ardgour, which included them having a go at some of the on site activities!

Learning what life is like as a group member!

Since then the students have been working hard at the four Abernethy centres, getting experience of working with groups, seeing how other instructors run sessions and also making the most of their down time with some board games!

They have since been back at Ardgour for their Level 2 canoe and kayak training, so it was great to see them and catch up. As well as having lots of fun working with our groups, the students who have been here at Ardgour on placement spent one day last week helping with an exciting new project…a brand new toilet — the Kilmaloo out at the bothy! (For those of you unaware — our Ardour centre is based at Kilmalieu)

We are planning to have another post soon from one of our students, giving you an inside peek at what life is like as a TI on placement, but just wanted to let everyone know that they are doing well and working hard!

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
