Reflecting on a Year of Writing
In a few days, I will celebrate the anniversary of my first published text on a public platform. On this occasion, I took a moment to reflect on everything that has happened since that very first day.
Before publishing anything, I had several fears that paralyzed me for many months, if not years. I thought that what I wrote was ridiculous, that it wouldn’t interest anyone, and that it wasn’t perfect…
It’s crazy because I already had many texts, articles I had written for my own pleasure, film and album reviews, poems, songs, and quotes. I had no shortage of resources or inspiration.
However, I always had this slightly crazy desire in the back of my mind, the thought that I would like to dare to share this with the public. And who knows, maybe what I write would inspire people, make them identify with it, or simply evoke sensations and emotions in them.
The First Step
One day, I saw a contest on a French-speaking platform called Fyctia, and I found that the chosen theme matched one of the latest stories I had started scribbling on my computer.
