Update from the Founders — Q2 2019
Hi There,
It has been an exciting Q2 for the team, and we are happy to share some exciting news with you, our supporters, advisors and friends.
Indonesia Fieldwork Update:
The conclusion of our pilot fieldwork has produced the following preliminary data:
- More than 5,000 families enrolled in 3 provinces
- 2 rounds of subsidy distribution in April and May
- 99.999% verified and tracked money transferred to the correct person. Reduction of leakage could save the Indonesian government $3.49 billion USD per year https://www.thejakartapost.com/news/2019/03/14/govt-readies-new-direct-scheme-for-problematic-lpg-subsidy.html
Next Steps: We are working with TNP2K and ID2020 on measurement and evaluation of the pilot to learn the best methods to scale the implementation for future success in Indonesia.
