About Me — Abhinav Misra
Learning from Life and Growing.
Who am I and what do I do?
Hey, I am Abhinav! I’m from INDIA the country of colors, religious beliefs, yoga, and Bollywood. India is a culturally diverse country with very kind and loving people.
Living in India is very exciting as from north to south and from east to west you will find a lot of diversity in people, food, language, beliefs, landmarks, and many more that I didn’t even know about, that is why I want to explore all of it.
I was born in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. Here I live with my family I am the youngest of four siblings. My father lived with my grandparents in a village afterward he moved to the city and got settled there. My father is an advocate by profession and my mother is a homemaker they both had an arranged marriage.
I completed my schooling here only and then I graduated with a degree in mechanical engineering in 2020. It was starting COVID and I anyhow managed to land a job as a salesman in the retail sector of the brand. With time, I got promoted and acquired the role of inventory manager in the same brand.
I am very optimistic and ambitious and always think great for myself. I have no clue why but I always feel that I am meant for the best and greatest. Yet I always find myself in a dilemma of self doubt.
“My goal is to find a purpose in my life so, I can spend my whole life serving it.”
Till date, money has been a constant chase of my life. My mind’s tug of war about money is to find the right balance between the fact that money is the root cause of all evil and at the same time it is one of the most important driving force of life. I am constantly working hard to earn it and trying not to be greedy.
I usually find myself lured into the online world of making money online. Till date tried various options like print on demand on sites like Teepublic, Teespring, Zazzle, and Redbubble then tried affiliate marketing on Amazon affiliates, Click Bank, and Fiverr. I am trying to get some success on these platforms but have yet to be successful. And to some extent, I know why it’s been like this till now as I cannot be consistent with my work and now am working on it.
My Interest?
- Music: My calm place where I can listen to genres of music and have a huge variety in the songs, I am listening to songs right now.
- Sketching: I often find myself sketching something whenever I am free. I could be better at it but yes sketch to minimalistic.
- Travel: Not traveled much but I always grab any opportunity if any presented in front of me.
- Sports: I am extremely fond of football, I love to play it. Now I do not get time for it as doing the job and then trying for all of these side hustles but whenever get a chance I do go to play.
- Workout: In a week I usually take time twice or thrice to do a workout as it motivates me and feel good.
My recent travels:
- In May, I traveled to the beautiful city of Gangtok and biked to Lachung, Zero Point, and then Kalimpong. A bike trip through the valley with zig-zag roads going uphill along with rain drops touching as if we were in a blanket of clouds and the temperature dropped to freezing cold. This was the first time I went on a biking trip with my friends all these places had awesome views, beautiful mountains, and were very culturally rich and I had a great experience.
- In February, I went to the holy city of BANARAS also known as VARANASI where the Ganga flows. The city is full of very spiritual people. Explored various temples that were spectacular and hold a significant place in our hearts, out of all Kashi Vishwanath temple which is one of the jyotirlinga(for all the people who are unaware it is one the twelve most important holy temples of lord Shiva in INDIA) and other one is Kal Bherav temple. Explored almost the whole of the city on foot as the city has various small streets, and if you want to explore it is recommended to do so as these streets are filled with small temples which have their significance and delicious food joints which are famous there locally.
All in all, traveling is a wholesome experience for me to get out of daily life to enjoy and explore a bit.
“From traveling I learned that nothing is permanent and fixed in life, so be very flexible accept that the change is constant, and be ready to explore the unknown in your life.”
Why I’m on Medium?
For the last 4 years, I have been writing my day-to-day stuff in my diary. Initially, I usually used to write down all my frustrations to calm myself but with time it became a frequent thing.
Now I also write about the things that fascinate me or a thought that arises within me from my life or by learning from anyone else’s life.
I‘m looking forward to joining this community to get inspired, and if possible, inspire others.
I’m in a pursuit to find my life’s purpose. Join me, and let’s take one step at a time in discovering our lives!
