“About Me — Afolashade Azeez”
A quick introduction: I’m Afolashade Azeez, from Africa’s seventh-largest and Nigeria’s third-most populous city (also the largest by geographical area).
Now, I know you’re eager to know my hometown! (Ta-da! It’s the beautiful city of Ibadan!).
Beyond where I hail from, my biggest dream is to travel the world and be among women who positively impact lives through my God-given gifts.
How did I figure out that travelling the world is my biggest dream and one of my core purposes?
- From childhood, I have always envisioned myself beyond any city I found myself in.
- I constantly dream about exploring new countries.
- Topics about travelling fascinate me, and I often find myself on the Instagram pages of travel enthusiasts and adventurers, spending hours consumed by their content. You’ll always find me smiling sheepishly while reading about their experiences.
Realizing I lacked the financial means to start travelling the world yet, I sought ways to bring out the adventure in me by joining a group of hiker in my community
I started hiking with them in 2022, which genuinely gave me a sense of purpose and happiness.
I met like-minded individuals, learned from some, drew strength from others, and made friends.
While figuring out how to achieve financial independence to travel the world, I discovered I needed to stop waiting for the right time and embrace a job that I’m passionate about, offering the freedom to travel at my pleasure.
This led me to embrace a remote job, providing the flexibility and freedom I need to fulfil my dream.
