Alexander Kovalov, personal archive.

Born and raised in Ukraine, my story has been one of ambitious pivots, relentless growth, and unyielding dedication. I started as a top student with dreams of diplomacy, recognized for academic excellence and honored as part of Ukraine’s “Golden Fund of the Nation.” My early work in international relations took my research across borders, with academic papers published in Germany, the UK, Italy, Switzerland, and Poland.

But my journey took a sharp turn. I left Vienna University in Austria, abandoning my diplomatic path to pursue entrepreneurship and launched my first legal-tech startup, Bright Advise. I learned hard lessons when it failed — lessons about business models and the realities of tech startups that reshaped my approach (and I’ll definitely cover them in future publications). Determined to understand what went wrong, I immersed myself in the world of sales and marketing, joining AdTech, Health Tech, and Blockchain companies to sharpen my skills (and yes, I sold my bitcoin when it was $470 — a story for another day).

Armed with this knowledge, I founded Yellow Walls, a digital marketing agency specializing in strategic growth for B2B and B2C brands. My approach is rooted in data-driven strategies, from SEO and funnel building to paid ads, retention, email marketing, and conversion optimization. Over the years, I’ve taken companies from stagnant to scaling, helping an e-commerce brand reach 300% YoY growth and guiding a professional services firm to an impressive 1200% annual growth. I later launched YECOMM, a marketing agency focused exclusively on e-commerce D2C brands on Shopify.

In 2023, I immigrated to the U.S. with my family, starting from scratch to build a new life in Miami. Now, I live here with my wife and two daughters, working tirelessly to make the most of every opportunity. My days revolve around my family and my work, guided by a strong sense of discipline that defines everything I do. My commitment to CrossFit, which I train for five days a week, is more than just a fitness routine; it’s a reflection of my mindset — a relentless drive to improve, push limits, and stay focused.

I’m a hustler in the truest sense, filling every available moment with work, reading, learning, and training. Free time is a rare commodity, but when I do have it, you’ll find me hanging out with my daughters. You can think that my life may look like all work…and you’re goddamn right! But it’s fueled by passion and a dedication to progress that I carry into everything — from my career to my family life.

Throughout my professional career, I’ve been more than just a consultant — I’ve stepped in as a fractional CMO for some companies, working alongside them as a strategic partner to refine processes, drive revenue, and build long-term growth plans for a percentage of the revenue. I often work one-on-one with business owners, helping them scale their businesses, because sometimes an outside perspective is just what’s needed. Brands I’ve worked with (and can mention based on their testimonials) include Vizilok, LasersOnly, Ivy Tutors Network, Golden Harbors, Tiny Tags, Faviana, Colette Malouf, Pond Mobile, Savor, and more.

As I worked hands-on with businesses, I saw a gap in tools that make complex data insights accessible. That’s why I’m building Ranalyze AI, an AI-powered analytics assistant designed to turn raw data into clear, actionable strategies. Ranalyze is for owners and marketers who need real-time insights without the hassle, answering questions like “Why did my conversions drop yesterday?” and offering actionable recommendations.

Building an AI startup is hard, no matter what others say. With high market competition and a rapidly evolving tech landscape, the challenge isn’t just “building” but knowing exactly “what to build.” That’s where my experience comes in, and it’s why this journey is so challenging — and rewarding (I believe).

I’m here to share the strategies and insights I’ve honed through years of hands-on experience in digital marketing and startup growth. Expect marketing techniques I’ve successfully applied in my own businesses and with clients — real tactics that drive real results. I’ll also dive into personal development tips rooted in discipline and productivity, insights from my startup journey, and case studies that teach valuable lessons on scaling.
