Bio

My name is Alfie Stevenson. I am 23, and about to be a history graduate that wants to kickstart a career in journalism.

I enjoy reading, writing, politics, football, food, music and video games! This diverse taste made it incredibly difficult to start this page on medium. Instead I have decided to create a page where I will attempt to comment on a little bit of everything. Whether it be poetry, politics or pizza, I will attempt to write about it.

Whilst it is difficult with current restrictions, I enjoy traveling which is one of my many inspirations for pursuing a career in journalism. In the future, I hope to feature some travel writing on this page.

10 Random Facts About Me

1. Whilst being quite energetic and extroverted, I would much rather go to a pub with a small group than a club with a large group.
2. I prefer watching TV shows over films. My comfort TV show that I could watch over and over again is Community.
3. I studied History at the University of Leicester.
4. Whilst living in Leicester I discovered my love for football and I am now a huge Leicester City fan! Up the Foxes!
5. My guilty pleasure is the Scissor Sisters.
6. I love anime.
7. When I was younger, I collected keyrings and still have hundreds of them to this day.
8. One of my favourite pass times is listening to music! Pitchfork and Anthony Fantano’s ‘theneedledrop’ are two of my biggest inspirations in journalism and made me want to pursue a career within the media.
9. I am a self taught guitarist! (That doesn’t mean I am good, it just means I am competent).
10. I really enjoy cooking and have started my own recipe book which is a collection of my own creations and family recipes.
