Hello world! Nice to meet you. My name is Allison.

Who am I? I am many things.

I’m an engineer who has always had a passion for reading and writing. Somewhere along the journey of “growing up”, I put down writing for fear of judgment.

Caught up in the ultimate rat race that life can be, I forgot how much reading and writing meant to me. But since a global pandemic has forcefully slowed down the pace of life, I’ve taken this time to focus on pursuing the “what ifs” that float through my head late at night when I can’t sleep.

What if I return to my childhood love of writing? What if I channel my inner bravery and put myself out there? What if I stop this mental naysaying and just do it? So, here I am.

I’m an ESFJ according to Myers-Briggs. But in truth, I’m right on the border of Extrovert and Introvert, and Feeling and Thinking.

It means that in a room full of extroverts, I’m the introvert but in a room full of introverts, I’m the extrovert. In a room full of engineers, I’m the free-wheeling/go-with-my-gut one but in a room full of artists, I’m the can’t-think-outside-the-box one.

So I guess that makes me a personality chameleon of sorts.
