About Me — Amanda Adams
Hello folks and thanks for being here! My name is Amanda Adams and I’m a 30-something living in Eugene, Oregon, USA. Like many of you, I write as a form of self-expression and for personal development and reflection. I’m excited to start sharing more of what I write here on Medium, with you.
My current day job is within the field of healthcare philanthropy with a focus on promoting health equity. My prior work experience includes time with non-profit housing providers and academic student support services. My undergraduate degree is in Human Development & Family Sciences with an emphasis on Human Services and my master’s degree is in Management & Leadership — adding some legitimacy to the “Amandager” moniker I earned from friends in college. Perhaps they were just inferring that I was bossy but I prefer to think of it as efficient and take charge, in a good way.
On the personal front, I’m married with three cats and no kids (because what millennial can afford both). I’m a homeowner and my partner and I normally have a few home improvement projects going at any given time. I love cooking and interior decorating and gardening as creative outlets. I’m also an avid bullet journaler, a voracious reader, and a guilt-free fan of reality tv. Can anyone say Keeping Up with the Kardashians and 90 Day Fiancé?!
