Who am I? To the world, I’m just anyone and no one, but to me, I’m a writer. I can articulate emotions and orchestrate narratives that capture the intensity of my thoughts. I write way too many letters than I’d like to admit — to friends and lovers, mentors and role models. I often wish I were born in the 80s when Natural Language was a thing but Natural Language Processing wasn’t. I’m a poetess. I can string together words in a way that would make you want to snap your fingers after every verse. I’m an artist. I can paint pictures in pastels and oil, but more than that I can paint with my words. I’m a dancer. I hear the whispers of “Royce,” and my body instinctively goes into a body roll. Call out cinco-seis-siete, and I’ll draw ochos across the floor. I over-romanticize, dramatize and talk too much. Albeit once the salsa beat drops, my hips can start a conversation even my mouth can’t follow as such. Sometimes, I obsess, I admire, I form toxic attachments — to people, to places, and currently SpaceX’s CEO.
