About Me — Angela S. Guitart
The day I was humiliated for asking too many “Whys”
Writing openly for the whole world? This is way out of my comfort zone. Honestly, this post will probably stay in my drafts for ages. If you’re reading this, it means I’ve done the cringe-worthy “press” of the publish button.
Here we go.
I recently attended an empowering workshop (yes, the type that screams midlife crisis — go ahead and guess my age). They introduced the concept of “limiting beliefs” and how to challenge them. It hit me: I’ve always wanted to share my thoughts and learnings, no matter how random, but two annoying beliefs have held me back:
(Limiting belief on the left -> how I decided to challenge it on the right)
- “People will judge me for what I say.” → Honestly, people are busy — they don’t have time to think about me that much.
- “I’m not a native English speaker, and I’ll make mistakes.” → Enter my trusty sidekick, Grammarly.
So, here I am, challenging my limiting beliefs and stepping waaaay out of my comfort zone. Wherever this journey takes me, I’m sure I can learn something (I’m forever curious, after all). And that’s where my title comes in.
