Hey everyone, I’m Annie,

I’ve recently started writing on Medium and enjoyed many of your ‘About Me’ articles, so I decided to step out of my corner and introduce myself.

Realities

I am the daughter of gardeners, at the end of my twenties, and currently a Ph.D. student in sports science somewhere in Europe.

My first writing attempt was an urban-fantasy-shapeshifter-tiger-with-glowing-eyes-‘novel’ I (fortunately) never finished. After I lost track of my writing, I re-started during an internship, as I needed to kill time. These short stories were described as ‘the trashiest things I’ve ever read,’ which is why I quit fantasy writing since then.

Wow, as I read this now, it looks sad. But I am not. Reading it again.

• The joy of reading, and
• What it feels like to be a Ph.D. student
