About Me — Ashish Kapoor
Not a ‘Kapoor’ from The Bollywood
I have joined Medium as a writer and now that I have to write about myself; I am finding it hard to look for the right words. It’s funny … haha
Anyway, first the introductions. I am Ashish Kapoor. In case you are from India, or watch Bollywood (Hindi) movies, don’t be fooled by my last name. I am not a celebrity. Don’t have connections with Kareena Kapoor or Ranbir Kapoor or anyone with that last name in the Indian film industry. Although there is a fun story around it, I will share it in the coming days.
Coming back to ‘About Me’. I am an IT Professional working for a Global IT company for almost 2 decades now. Married, and settled in the beautiful country of The Netherlands with my wife and two lovely kids. I am looking for a purpose in life, which many of us do at my age as I explore the internet. I am a sports person too. Part of a Cricket Club in The Netherlands, playing only for fun though. Also, an enthusiast when it comes to running events. I got stuck by the running bug in 2017, and soon I did a couple of half marathons (21.1 Km runs) followed by Full Marathons (42.2 Km runs).
