From Code to Keyboard: Why a Full Stack Developer Started Writing on Medium
For four years, my world has been defined by code. I’ve lived in the backend’s logic and the frontend’s creativity, building useful solutions that enhance people’s lives. But even as a Full Stack Developer, I’ve always felt a pull toward “the other side” — the side of content creation.
Like many of you, I’ve wondered: Do I have anything valuable to share? Will my ideas get lost in the sea of online content?
Today, I’m facing that fear. Today is the day I’m stepping out from behind the code to share my learning journey with you.
Who Am I?
My name is Barbara Morantes, and I’m a passionate, self-taught technologist with four years of experience. Beyond the keyboard, I’m a lifelong learner.
I’m fluent in Spanish, building my skills in English, and currently tackling Portuguese. This love for languages goes beyond communication; it’s about understanding different cultures and new ways of thinking — a skill that has proven invaluable in my development career.
I also find joy in the simple things, like traveling and coloring mandalas.
