About Me — Barbara Radisavljevic
A not so silent member of the Silent Generation and a California native
What the photo says about me
This photo captures several aspects of my life. I live in a region of vineyards and tasting rooms in Paso Robles, California. This photo was taken a year before we moved there when we still lived in the midst of wine country, surrounded by vineyards in Templeton.
This is ten minutes south of our present home. but a whole different world. I liked rural life better than I like life in the noisy city. You can see one of our neighbor's vineyards in the background.
We still own the property and rent out a mobile home on it, which means we are also landlords. I still store most of my book inventory in our former home and its outbuildings because I’m an online bookseller. I also blog about books.
I’m sitting on a kneeling bench I reviewed on Review This Reviews, a group blog I contribute to. See my most recent reviews. I’m resting after a weeding session on the edge of an herb garden. I’ve also been taking root cuttings to transplant at the house in Paso Robles, which we also owned at the time. I knew we would move there someday. Why? Because we were about to enter our seventh decade and we’d have to move to a one-story home soon.
