Hi everyone,

I am Beata. I am 23 years old. I just graduated from college (you can watch my speech here).

I am a very curious human. In my free time, I like to wander around the city and pay attention to the crazy creativity and thoughts of my mind. I collect these in my journal, in doodles, and in my notes app on my phone. I have different pages in my notes app: “schedule,” “ideas,” “books to read,” “quotes,” and “active brain space.” I also have a rapidly growing document with notes from everything I absorb: books and movies and shows. Lastly, I am frustrated with my ignorance of the world, so I document my investigations about the world and its history on Notion. In the back of my head, I am considering becoming the Gen-Z John Green.

I love talking to strangers and anyone who will share their story. I get along with anyone who wants to get along with me. It’s a very simple requirement, haha. Of all things, humans are the most fascinating to me.

I am the daughter of Soviet Ukrainian Jews, who came as refugees to America with $100 and accomplished the American dream. I speak Russian, my native language, and I hate the cuisine.

I love discomfort. In fact, the past year, I’ve been pushing myself outside of my comfort zone: to relax and be comfortable. At…
