About Me – Beltrán Jiménez
From Medicine to Self-Discovery: A Medical Student Passionate About Learning and Growth.
When I’m asked to write a brief account of who I am, to sum up my story in just a few paragraphs, I often find myself pessimistically thinking that I have nothing to say. However, when I dive deeper into my biography, I realize that I could fill an entire book with anecdotes and lessons. But that’s not what this is about, so I’ll stick to answering a few basic questions about myself.
I am a 19-year-old medical student from Seville, Spain, currently studying at the University of Navarra in Pamplona. You might be wondering: why choose to study so far from Seville when I could easily stay there? The answer is simple. The University of Navarra has one of the best medical schools in Spain and Europe. I’ve always seen myself as someone who doesn’t take the easy route and is eager to seek out the best opportunities, which is why I decided to study away from home.
If I were to talk a bit more about myself, I’d say that I’ve always been a very hard-working person. Beyond having any particular standout skill, I would say my strength lies in knowing how to work to develop new skills. I consider myself intelligent, but nothing has ever come easily to me – I’ve always had to work for it. I’ve consistently excelled…
