Hello everyone,
This is Bisleshan. I am new to medium and wanted to talk a little about myself.
My love affair with books began as early as I can remember. While other kids spent their money on toys or candy, I was searching bookstores for the latest comics and novels. Whether it was superheroes or mysteries, I devoured everything. As I grew, so did my library — and so did my desire to write. I started creating my own worlds through articles, poems, and short stories.
But life had other plans. In India, pursuing a career in writing isn’t always an option. You’re either a doctor, an engineer, or… well, society labels you a failure. So, like many others, I caved in to the pressure and enrolled in engineering. But here’s the thing: while I’d always been a top student, I struggled in engineering. My heart simply wasn’t in it.
During those tough years, something else sparked my interest — entrepreneurship. I began ghostwriting on platforms like Freelancer, Upwork, and Fiverr. I even became a power seller on eBay India, selling rare and vintage comics from my personal collection. It felt like I was getting closer to my true passion, but I still wasn’t there yet.
