About Me — Calum Upton
After being on Medium for AGGESSSS, I thought I’d finally get round to writing an ‘About Me’.
I usually like to break my life down into 4 parts, which I feel are the core parts of my identity:
- Career
- Hobbies
- Fun
- Interpersonal
I’ll start with a little background and then get into each of these four parts.
Background:
I was born in December 1996 in Glasgow, Scotland, to my Mum, Jo, who was a social worker at the time, and my Dad, Mark, who was working in HR at the time. Both have since changed careers. I have a twin sister, Rosie, who was ‘removed’ one minute before me.
At the age of 2, we moved from Glasgow down to Southampton, England, for my Dad’s work. He found a new role in Due Diligence for IBM at the time. He still works in a similar area, just for a new company. My mum focused on childcare for a few years after moving down, especially after my two little sisters, Izzie and Cara, were born in 2000 (another set of twins!).
