My name is Cara J. Stevens, and I’m a children’s author, editor and freelance writer. I write to tell stories, inform, educate, inspire, encourage and entertain readers, but I also write to let the characters in my head have their say.
Yes, I’m “The Minecraft Lady”
I’m most well-known among 7–12 year-old Minecraft fans as “The Minecraft Lady”. I’ve written 19 graphic novels for Minecraft fans. My books have been sighted across the U.S. at Scholastic Book Fairs, libraries, and Amazon stores.
Receiving fan mail from my young readers really makes my day! Many parents have written to me to tell me that their kids didn’t like to read until they discovered my Minecraft graphic novels, and to me that is the highest praise I can get! I’ve also been told by several parents that their kids like to sleep with my Minecraft graphic novels as their comfort objects instead of a stuffie or blanket, and that is an amazing feeling!
