I recently have been following Zulie Rane’s journey on Medium and I love her “about me” article that sits at the top of her page.
This is my take.
Bio
I am a black woman and American expat living in New Zealand with my American husband and our stray cat, Meow Meows. We just finished our house!
Yikes, I don’t even think I count as an expat anymore now that I have my New Zealand citizenship + passport and I have no intention of moving back to the states…but I digress.
I’m really nobody, just a millennial searching for something more in her life. I am well-traveled and over-educated. I have spent my whole life working average jobs for an average wage and have recently decided to start a business with my husband. Outside of work, hubby and I built a tiny house in 2015 and lived in it for 5 years until we decided to build a normal (but still smallish) house. Our tiny house is now on Airbnb! We spend our free time watching Nordic and UK crime shows (I think it’s a rule if your last name is Holmes), playing with our cat and brewing beer…
