Yet another kid who used to enjoy writing but doesn’t write anymore
So, to spice life up and fight existential boredom, I have decided that the best course of action is to post silly (but hopefully useful or at least funny) articles, that my family, friends, and colleagues can tease me about. So here I am, let’s see what happens.
I am Moroccan and I grew up in a lovely boring conservative town by the Mediterranean Sea. I am of course obsessed with olive oil, almonds, figs, and gossip. I love spending summers on the beach and in the sun (at least theoretically), and seeing a mountain on the horizon always feels like home.
After close to 5 years of living in other countries for school and work, I came back home intending to get ready to leave it for good. That was over four years ago now and I am clearly not going anywhere. If I am being honest, it feels really good to be home, might be the olive oil, or the gossip. I am looking forward to traveling more but I am kind of done with tourism (this is a whole thing, we’ll get to it). If you are curious, I loved my travels in Latin America the most, and my absolute favorite travel crush is Colombia. I did go twice, and I think a third time might come soon.
