Howdy, I’m Danielle.
When I was 23 years old, I moved to New York City. I had just graduated from Rutgers University and was on a mission. I set up shop in the Big Apple and it was here, in this dynamic, bustling, inspiring city, that I lived my first life.
For fifteen years, I practiced as a psychotherapist and founded a co-working space for mental health professionals in the heart of Manhattan. Both were successful businesses and helped me create a life for myself where towards the end of my career, I worked very little and had mucho free time. I fell completely in love with New York but after 15 years, something shifted.
It was time to hit the road. I needed some new vibes.
At the same time I decided to leave the Big Apple, I had an epiphany that hit me so hard I felt as if I had found the cure for cancer or something like that. It occurred to me I didn’t have to be a psychotherapist anymore either. Even though I was making bank, was good at what I did and put a lot of time an money into my education, it became clear I had to leave that also behind.
