Welcome to Dansky Dan Land. Well, Australia. Yes, we do have Kangaroos bouncing down the middle of the street. And yes Drop Bears are real.
Grew up in a mining town in the north of Western Australia. Only child with divorced parents who lived under the same roof but had different lives.
It was a great place to grow up. So much freedom. No shoes, no shirt no hat. Camping fishing and playing with your friends till the street lights came on.
I was always been creative and had a vivid imagination. Maybe it was the only child thing. Had to entertain my self most times. Loved creating stories. Also loved acting. During high school was always involved in writing plays or acting in them. I also liked making people laugh.
I wanted to be an actor when I left high school. So, my very first job was a computer programmer. Not sure what happened there.
I did co-write a play. It was part of a Young Writers competition. We came runner up and it also got published. Over the years the odd local theatre group would perform the play. Because it’s a published work it meant we could earn royalties. Over the last 28 years, I have made a grand total of $100.00. No one…
