Who am I? One of the most simple-sounding questions. But the most difficult to answer. What about me is so special or unique, that it’s worth sharing. Something that doesn’t make me sound average or mediocre.
This moment of sheer terror and anxiety engulfs many of us in interviews or first dates. It’s like, for a split second, you forget completely who you are.
You can barely spit out two equally average-sounding attributes, positions, or roles that you hold, and in that entire disappointing moment, it’s like your whole existence is wrapped up in a lame two-sentence presentation. And it deceivingly dawns on you that, that’s all that you are.
But this cannot be further from the truth, there’s much more to you, look under the surface.
Who am I
So, who am I? I'm the person who is standing right beside you even though my presence is too subtle for you to notice, even through my loud whispers.
I’m the person whose words come out all jumbled up even though I see all the finer details in life, people, society, and all that is. I’m a thinker. I think, and I think, and I think until the lights go on upstairs. I’ll think deeply about…
