About Me — Defiant Phoenix
I’m not in jail or a millionaire yet, but there’s still time for both.
“If you had a brain, you’d be dangerous” is a phrase I have heard often in my life, often accompanied with peals of laughter at my retelling of an old, bold, and entirely stupid escapade.
More often than not, a story involving a little too much alcohol. I’ve done plenty of stupid things. I imagine you have, too. It’s what makes us memorable, if not always cool.
But this story isn’t about gloriously drunk days and their hellishly messy and miserable aftermaths.
This is about me.
And if you ever met me, the first thing you would notice is that I’m not quite normal. And it’s true. I have forged my own wilful path through life, usually taking the fork that says “do not enter.”
Somehow, I’ve always landed on my feet on the other side, having forced myself to carve a path through Hell until I emerge on the other side, singed and weary.
And that is where I am right now, dear reader. A singed, weary human refusing to look back into the abyss behind me.
And no, there was no alcohol involved.
