About Me — Desiree Driesenaar
The Future Matters
I’m a science girlie. A wild grandma in a serious business world. But I also feel in my body and soul that we are spinning with 1670 km per hour through the universe. It doesn’t make me religious though.
It makes me smile… and connected… to Gaia…
I’m a very curious person. A bit sad about the state of the world. Although I know it’ll all work out as soon as we start adapting to our planet. Resilient cities and villages. Regenerative farming and travel.
Our human systems (societies, economies) have two big problems. Linear thinking and toxic production. The accumulation of problems instead of solutions. There’s enough space in the system to grow. But then we have to work together.
Use each other’s rest streams before they become waste.
CO2 emission connected to a greenhouse full of spirulina… We design whole ports this way. Rivers meander so the toxic sediments are trapped in a corner and we can get it out to make new products with. There’s enough pollution in the world now to have healthy local economies. And that saves transport and packaging.
I like upside-down thinking. And I inspire people with Biomimicry.
