Hi everyone, My name is DG , a 20-something Nigerian writer, reflective thinker, and ambivert navigating life with words and wonder. I write under the name Essays with DG on Medium because I believe that there’s a certain magic in writing with flair.
Where I’m From
Born and raised in Nigeria, I live my life surrounded by complexity, contradictions, and culture, all of which add to my writing.
What I Do
Right now, I’m a fresh Communications graduate navigating post-grad life and the chaos of adulting. I write, blog, overthink, dream, and hustle , though not always in that order.
My Medium Goals
I write on Medium to connect, to share, and to grow. I write mainly fiction and non fiction, reflections on procrastination, growth, culture, life, and navigating womanhood.
My goal? To build a strong, loyal readership that finds comfort and understanding in the words I write.
What Makes Me Unique
I write like I talk to myself. My work often sits between poetry and prose, with thoughts tangled up in memory, longing, truth, questions, and a hint of uncertainty.
