About Me – Elena Wasserzier
Here’s a little bit about myself, for everyone curious…
Hi everybody!
Even though I have been writing on Medium for around four months, I have yet to properly introduce myself formally.
So here we go!
Where are you from?
My name is Elena and I was raised in southern Germany. I was born into the heavy snow duvets of December 1998 in a small town close to the Donnersberg (scary, thinking about the reality that I will turn 26 this year…)
Most of my life, I have lived in a small town, close to Frankfurt. I grew up on a farm and have always been surrounded by hundreds of animals, I am not kidding. In that way, I guess I have never known life without its beginnings and endings, meaning that I saw horses die and lambs born. These events prepared me for the realities of human life as well.
And I am grateful for that.
Frolicking in the vineyards and between different individuals, people, and pets alike, was my day-to-day until I turned 20 and moved to Sweden to study a bachelor’s degree in “Human Rights.”
