About Me: Esther Levy
Writer, Fighter, Mother Figure to five, and Grandma to two.
For me, life happened all backward. But that is the way god intended it. I grew up in Los Angeles, California, and traveled the world. I got married super young and had 5 kids at the age of 27.
I owned the picket fence, but it didn’t feel like my own. I was following the formula to “success.” The signal that this lifestyle was not for me was at 26 and pregnant, my body shut down, and the Doctor said I had 3 hours to live.
Well, I stand here at 41, proud to tell the tale.
In my first book, Interior Designer — The Body. I map out the steps I took using the elements of interior design to understand how to organize my interior self.
The Writer
I found that sharing my troubles wasn’t productive. I began journaling and expressing myself by writing poetry, lyrics, a novel, and self-help books.
At first, I didn’t intend on publishing. I found my voice by using a pen and paper. The voice gave me clarity and understanding, as well as held me accountable for showing up as myself.
Communication is not only in words but in the way we organize our lives. When our form is organized, there is less explaining and complaining.
