Thinking about what’s for dinner…

My name is Flannery Maney and I’ve been agonizing about how to write an ‘about me’ summary for days now. I’d promised myself that I’d start it, and if I wanted to scrap it at any second, I could. If you are in fact reading this, I have pushed through my fears. There was definitely red wine involved.

I write about personal things all the time from love, to my screenwriting career, to how I’m passing time in this soul sucking quarantine. Why, you ask, am I such a baby about this?

Because looking inward is scary.

So here I am, turning the mirror around and hopefully accurately summing up what I see. Here goes.

I’m originally from Columbus, OH. I was safely nestled in at liberal arts school, on a path of “certainty”, when I fucked everything and moved to LA to be…an actress.

I truly hated it. I lost myself completely while trying to find a professional acting career. I did, however, fall in love with entertainment, and learned actual acting technique at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts — an education that forever changed my life.
