My Bio

Just wanted to say a quick welcome to my extended profile. My name is Frank Ó’hÁinle, well that is almost true. As a weird Gaelic quirk, I have been referred to by my middle name Frank all my life, despite my first name actually being Taidhg. This would of course have been understandable if my parents had deigned to inform me of the fact before I turned 21.

For some reason as a writer, I struggle writing about myself more than anything else but for the purposes of this piece, I will try my best to share a part of who I am.

I am 23 years of age the oldest in my family with one brother, born and raised in Ireland to Irish working-class parents. It also seems likely that my family has rarely left the area of the country I am from, with a recent Ancestry DNA test allowing that I am 95% Munster Irish (A province in the South of Ireland).

I was born in the County of Limerick which is a part of Munster and studied Law and History at the University of Limerick, graduating with First Class Honors in 2020. I currently live in a student house in Elm Park, that is until I move to Amsterdam later this year, in order to start a Masters degree in European and International Law.
