Where do I start? I am trying to think of a way I can tell you about me without sounding boring hehe. I don’t want this to sound like a LinkedIn about me section or a Facebook profile, so let’s get going.

I’m Grace. People who are close to me call me Gracey and people who know me inside out call me crazy Gracey. I got this nickname when living in Spain the first time and someone not being able to say my name properly thought my name was crazy, so ever since the nickname suits me because I am crazy… in a good way!

I am a writer at heart, yoga teacher with grace, well-being coach for peace.

Let’s begin with random facts about me.

Things I love that calm me:

  • When it’s raining outside, and I am inside snug with a book (preferably under the covers with a cup of tea).
  • When I’m on a creative trip and can’t stop writing — the flow doesn’t let me go like right now.
  • Talking to my parents or my sister.
  • A hot bath with incense going, a glass of wine, and music blasting.
  • Walking through the streets of Sevilla.
  • Looking out the window of the plane when taking off.
  • Teaching yoga under the trees.

Things that get on my nerves:

  • People biting their nails.
  • When people don’t listen and talk.
  • Too much chatter. In my head too.
  • Cheese and bread at the clinic (I have become sick of the same dinner and put me off my beloved cheese.)
  • My leg hair when it grows (I only epilate a few times a year — maybe that’s too much information. Yes, I’m a hippie.)

What I love about myself:

  • The way I listen to people and am curious about everyone.
  • My open mind and openness.
  • My readiness, eagerness to try new things out.
  • My ability to write with love and light.
  • My brown eyes.
  • The way I bite my lip when I’m confused or flirting.
  • How I can provide a feeling of shelter and safety for people (even strangers).

What people say about me

“Grace is an amazing coach who has gone through a lot of things herself, so she knows how to help clients. I took part in a group coaching of hers and it was great to see how she made me comfortable by the week to talk about issues. During that course, I implemented a few routines after Grace suggested them and they are still important daily routines for me in my quest to lead a happier life.
Her books are also very motivating and I would recommend them to anyone who is feeling a bit down.” — Andreas Wagner

“You’re a great writer, spectacular book” — Ebrahim albrmaki

“Grace has a calming presence, something which comes across in the book. She finds ways to reach our most inner desires and fears using language that we would normally associate with friends. She bridges the gap between the familiar and the unfamiliar and offers a new way of looking at ourselves and more importantly shows us how to appreciate who we are. If our problems , anxiety and stress could be described as being at the bottom of the well, Grace and her book are the ladder and the light to guide us. Writers like her are now more important that ever, as we all face tough days and many, isolation. I would fully recommend not just the book but also the writer’s other platforms.” — Mark Collins

“Grace is an incredible yoga instructor. She holds a very safe and warm space. I struggle with ADHD and find Grace is one of the few instructors who can hold my attention throughout a practice.” — Danielle Rose Nagar

Part three: More about me

  • I always wanted to be an author. Ever since I was a kid, I have been keeping journals and diaries hoping that one day I will publish one. (That is still to come!). My author love was Jacqueline Wilson, and although I don't write fiction like her, I was amazed by how she could talk about a character like they were my friend. Tracey Beaker was definitely one of my best friends as a kid; maybe she was even like me a bit hehe.
  • My favourite colour is yellow. This is a given if you know both my books resonate yellow, especially my second book, Chill Out and Cheer Up’s front cover is yellow with a sunflower on it.
  • I love to smile at people (even with a mask on!).
  • I played violin and piano when growing up and really want to get back into it again. I feel lost without music.
  • My friends are the best. I am blessed to have friends scattered worldwide because of living in three countries — Spain, Germany, England.
  • I love to travel.
  • I love to eat tapas and cook it. And bake.
  • I love to laugh—a lot. I cry when I laugh too much as well.
