Receiving this beautiful calligraphy gift from Dr. Shahid A. Zia, Secretary of Fountain House Lahore for contributing as a volunteer at Fountain House.

Hello everyone. Hope, You’re doing great.

It’s an honor to be part of this publication, where I can freely write about myself, my achievements, my life story, the hurdles I’ve faced, and my goals.

Who I am : A Quick Overview

I’m a 22 year old student studying business and information technology from a well-reputed university of Pakistan. I’m a Certified MERN Stack Developer and passionate about working on software development and coding and always look for opportunities where I can enhance my skills. I engage in voluntary work for the community at Fountain House Lahore, and I am an executive member of my institute’s sports society. I want to achieve a successful career in IT and later start my own business. I enjoy playing badminton and cricket, going to concerts and social gatherings, and performing also. There’s also a wacky side of me,

A Joker who sings in the bathroom and dances poorly.

My Life Journey:

I was born into a Muslim Rajput family in Lahore. I have two siblings and I’m the eldest one. When it comes to my primary schooling, I was with the same place for about 10 years, a small, cozy place more than a school you’d imagine. It lacked large playgrounds or a campus-like setup, but it was special in its own way. I think the primary reason I went there was its location as it was directly behind our home, just a wall away. My parents used to joke that they could just throw me over the wall and I would land right in the classroom instead of needing a ride.

Well, I hope they were kidding.

Then, I went to a well-known college, GC University Lahore, for my higher studies. I spent my quality time there with diverse students of different religions and cultures. We used to spend most of our time playing cards in the cafe and enjoying music in the amphitheater. This is the place where my personality started grooming and I started building my confidence. The craze of music and speaking confidently in front of others, without worrying what they might think, develops in my personality from this place as the students in this university were extremely talented and very confident, which inspired me the most. When I used to watch them, I often thought that

If they don’t hesitate, why should I?

This mindset helps me to come out of my comfort zone.

After securing good marks in my higher studies, I got admission in University of the Punjab where I’m currently enrolled as a student in Bachelor’s in Business and IT. In this period of time, I became more career-focused person and felt the desire to start earning. So along with my studies, I took admission in an institute to gain some knowledge about software development and coding so that after graduating from my university, I might have some skills and hands-on experience that would give me a head start after graduation. This helped me a lot in securing my internship as I already knew some basics of web development.

Achievements and Goals:

By the grace of Almighty, I have always excelled in my studies since childhood. I always ranked among top three positions in the class. In matriculation exams, I achieved 95% marks and secured 90% marks in my intermediate studies. Because of these excellent grades, I had a privilege of studying free of cost in my school, along with scholarship of Rs. 10,000 monthly from my academy. It was truly a proud moment for me and my family. In my recent times, I have also done some freelancing work and earned some money. I’m currently working as a volunteer for community work at Fountain House, Lahore and I feel proud to do social work and to help needy people. There’s a famous quote by Muhammad Ali, an inspirational personality, stated as:

“Service to others is the rent you pay for your room here on Earth.”

This inspires me a lot.

I’m highly passionate about my career and goals. I want to secure a successful professional career so I always try to learn some skills that will be beneficial for me in my future ahead. I wish to become an IT specialist and want to pursue my graduate studies from globally recognized foreign university.

Why Medium?

So here I am on this platform because I like to know and learn more about IT path and all things related to it as well just present my point of views. I’ve always had a passion for writing and just felt that this is such a platform where I can share my ideas but more importantly connect with like-minded folks. It gives me the platform to talk about IT, technology and career development which facilitates my learning process. I hope to contribute and share what I can learn from my journey , hopefully you too.

That’s all from my side. Stay tuned and look forward to my upcoming stories!
