What is Special About Hein?
I am a humorous, fun-loving, down-to-Earth, and placid Professional Writer, Relationship Counselor, Life Coach, Business Coach, NFT Artist & Collector, Digital Marketer, and Philosopher on various topics of which Self-improvement, Romance, and Health & Fitness are some of my favorites.
I have been writing for over 20 years now and have written some of my books, as well as ghostwritten books for clients.
I have been in the digital marketing space since the inception of social media, roughly.
I come from South Africa but have lived in the UK and California, US before. I have a 7-year-old beautiful son, and I am engaged to be married (not my son’s mother). I love cats and dogs… But I would love to get an exotic pet like a monkey, a crocodile, or a dinosaur if they are still available.
Why Did I Start With Relationship Counseling?
Well, it is a long story… I was in my teens when I really liked a girl and I just never knew how to approach her because I didn’t have the self-confidence.
I also always wondered why couples fight and break up, then I started observing people in restaurants, coffee shops, and other public places to study them and see how they relate, body language, etc.
So, then I started studying books and courses on relationships and the rest is history.
From there I also branched out to business coaching, life coaching, and self-improvement.
Why Did I Start Doing Martial Arts and Start My Own Health & Fitness Business?
I was bullied during my primary school years, and the group of boys would sometimes take my lunch off me, and without thanking me for it, they would hit me, pinch me, or kick me. This awoke a burning desire to defend myself in such situations.
Not long after that, I met a girl named Celeste, whose brother was a Sensei. We fell in love, and she later introduced me to him and his dojo, where I later started training discreetly as my family was against it.
I was so determined and passionate about martial arts (Bruce Lee was my idol by the way) that I became better than my sensei even while I was still his student.
A few years after, I became a master, and he was then my student in turn. I have also never lost a fight in my professional career. Besidesone time I declared defeat against a smaller, shorter Japanese lady. I stopped it before it might have happened to prevent the humiliation. This was one of my greatest accomplishments. Another reason why I decided to take on this sport was because I was also abused physically, mentally, and emotionally as a child, and I felt the need to fend for myself in such situations.
Why Did I Pursue Digital Marketing?
Well, I heard that there are plentiful opportunities in advertising and marketing and that it is the backbone of a business’s success.
It is a very lucrative industry with so many facets and angles to it that cover many interesting things, from SEO to social media, paid advertising, email marketing, content marketing, content creation (Yes, even writing!!!), and much more.
In fact, writing is one of the most important and core parts and also the biggest part of digital marketing.
I started roughly when social media was invented. Thatis how far back it goes. Digital screens, TV, radio, billboards, the internet, and so forth.
Why Did I Decide to Get Into Crypto and NFTs?
A few years ago, crypto started, and not long after that, NFTs. In 2021 everything started booming, and it suddenly became a viral technology that makes a lot of money for individuals like you, me, and businesses out there.
I became a digital artist, minting my digital art, music, and some other strange things. I will soon put some links here to my collections… [Watch this space!]
What Are My Medium Goals?
I would like to build a solid following and provide helpful high-quality content for readers out there who may need some advice, tips, or just interesting and creative stories (fiction).
I don’t really care to get articles curated or to make millions on here.
I do, however, want to eventually build a substantial income with my writing, affiliate marketing, and promoting my other blogs and social media platforms and provide some highly sought-after freebies and other digital products and services to my followers at some point soon.
I will be adding more about myself here soon, this is just my initial attempt!
