About Me — Helen J. Chen
A digital nomad project/program manager with a love for adventure.
From pursuing my passion for art in Germany to navigating the unexpected twists of life during COVID, my journey has been anything but ordinary.
I’m Helen J. Chen, a Hungarian-born Chinese raised in Budapest, with a background in both art and business. My path has taken me from a deep enthusiasm for art and fashion to a transition into business and project management.
Since childhood, I’ve been passionate about art, which led me to study it in Germany. There, I built valuable connections in the fashion media world. However, when COVID hit, I had to return to Hungary and start over — facing many challenges along the way.
I soon realized that passion alone doesn’t always pay the bills. Adapting to Hungary’s industry landscape sparked my interest in business — specifically, how economic systems shape industries and markets, which led me to pursue a master’s in International Management.
This opened doors to a career in project management, where I began as an intern and worked my way up to Project and Program Manager.
Through my journey, I discovered that art and business aren’t separate worlds — they can overlap in powerful ways.
