Hi Medium Writers, I Have a MESSAGE for You
Hi Writer Friend,
I have a little confession to make in this post. But, for you to make sense of this admission, lemme first briefly introduce myself.
Drum roll, please:
This is Ibrahim Sabry, a content marketer and copywriter from Banha, Egypt.
Doing content marketing for almost four years, I started by managing the social media for a small “Shawarma” restaurant in my neighborhood, for an equivalent of less than 3 dollars a day. Yes, you read it right!
Moving forward to 2024, I’m having a blast working with well-recognized brands from 4 countries: the US, Canada, Australia, and the UK.
It’s been a fruitful journey packed with ups and downs that have honed my skill set, shaped my personality, and, just as important, brought me here to share a handful of thoughts I believe are worth spreading.
And here’s the confession:
I wouldn’t have made it this far in my marketing career, hadn’t I digested other writers and creators’ shared experiences in online articles, videos and blog posts.
Since 2018, I’ve picked up tons of practical pieces of advice online and used them to fuel my mindset and amp up my skill set.
One of the destinations I’d always turn to for new learnings was Medium.
I’ve read zillions of medium articles over the past few years and got dozens of eye-opening insights and actionable marketing & productivity tips from a pool of awesome writers here.
So, I owe each writer on the platform a heck of a thanks. Plus, I decided to be your fellow creator.
What Brought Me to Write on Medium? Two Things
Long story short, my decision to join Medium comes down to paying back a bit of the favor for all that I’ve learned here.
I came to help people the same way others gave me a hand with their writing whenever I needed it.
It’s time to go out to share all the lessons and valuable experiences I’ve gone through in my long professional and personal journey.
But this isn’t all; for a copywriter like me, you need a place to write about what you’re passionate about, not what a brand’s brief dictates.
You need to have a chance to craft content in your own personal voice, not your clients’. That’s why I’m excited about giving Medium a go.
I can say that: I’m on a mission to make the most out of words.
I’m kicking off my Medium writing journey today, and I’m starting soon on X as well.
