About Me — Ifee Okoye
My mini autobiography.
Hiiii.. I’m Ifee, a young adult who’s navigating her twenties, a Christian, Nigerian, Medical Lab. Scientist still at the early stage of her career.
I enjoy writing but most of my works have been personal notes, jottings from lectures (I’ve had at least one jotter for each session right from primary school, it just helps me to retain information and memorize faster, I have quite a number of jotters and journal currently), class essays, birthday wishes to friends and family, to-do lists, price lists, expense breakdown of how I spent my money on chewing gum and lollipop in primary school, and very short poems.
As I grew in my Christian faith I began to journal — prayer journals, scriptures that stood out to me and somehow it transitioned to writing my thoughts to God. My transition was gradual and was inspired by constantly reading the Psalms of David from the bible.
I really enjoy journaling, somehow it does not feel like those awkward diaries we kept as teenagers where we write on our crushes and the people we need to avenge (Well, I’m glad I didn’t keep one — no shame to those who kept one, but the cringe content of the dairy would linger, just kidding). It just feels…heartwarming, like praying but in this case in a written format.
