About Me — Jeff Eagle
The long and whining road
This is me after getting goosed by the woman over my right shoulder.
I’m a Brooklyn native who lost his accent, except when someone cuts me off.
I didn’t find Medium, Medium found me. I began getting the three free stories a month. When I got hooked, I started rolling winos for loose change to support my habit.
I became a writer long before I knew what I was doing.
I attended NYU Film School, The Hollywood Screenwriting Institute, and am a Scriptwriting U — Pro Series Alumnus. I studied comedy writing with Emmy Award-winning director, Jerry Paris, improvisation with The Groundlings in LA, and was a staff writer on the feminist sketch comedy pilot, FEM-TV.
Primarily a screenwriter, I’ve written three memoirs. Slapshot, an excerpt from my memoir, Fade to Blue, won first place at the Palm Springs Writer’s Guild Competition. I started publishing on Medium in February 2024.
Humor writing is my jam.
After my discharge from the Air Force in 1970, I went back to NY to pursue an acting career.
