About Me — Jennifer N. Adams
I am an author, anthropologist, autism mom, and a US Navy veteran
Hi there! I am Jennifer N. Adams and this is my About Me Story.
I am a mom with a daughter on the spectrum (autism, short-term memory disorder, sensory processing disorder, ADHD). I am also an author. I currently have 12 books published under my pen name, J. Raven Wilde, and 8 books (almost 9) published under my name, Jennifer N. Adams.
I am also a US Navy veteran and a Navy brat and I have a bachelor’s degree in anthropology.
Though I traveled quite a lot growing up and while I was in the navy, it’s something I still enjoy doing. I’m quite the outdoor adventurer and have spread that bug to my daughter. We camp and hike and occasionally dig in the dirt for gemstones.
US Navy Veteran
I talk about my journey in the navy in my post, A US Navy Veteran’s Story. I enlisted in 2000 and did my four years. I was on board the USS George Washington CVN-73 when we were ordered to go to New York on 9/11. Shortly after that, we headed overseas and were the first ship to become engaged in the war on the Middle East.
