About Me — Jonathan Scott Griffin
Where do I begin? Well, for starters, I’m a writer. Oh, and I’ve been diagnosed as being on the autism spectrum. As such I don’t completely understand humanity or the world around me. I am currently studying Spanish, French, Japanese, German, Hebrew, Arabic, Romanian, Czech, and Swahili (primarily focusing on Spanish, French, and Japanese) and as challenging as they can be, learning them so far has not been nearly as challenging as the years I spent trying to learn facial expressions and basic body language. Maybe that’s why I’m a writer, to try and make sense of humanity and the world around me.
“But what do I write,” you may ask? On the pragmatic side I write articles. But often my pragmatic side takes a backseat to write works of fiction.
My Works of Fiction
From kindergarten to middle school, I didn’t have many friends. I did become the well respected nerd in high school, but that’s another story. As such, I was often alone, especially during my elementary school years. Even in kindergarten, being unable to understand social cues, I was the object of mockery from other students. Yeah, school was rough. But don’t get me wrong! Once school was out I always found joy, solitude, imagination, and magic in life, ingredients would that would transform me eventually into a writer.
