About Me — Joshua Heath
From technical side to creative side.
I have not always been a writer. Actually, I was more a math person throughout my junior and high school time. I got A’s in math class and when it comes to reading and writing those were hard. I loved stats and charts and especially maps.
Maps, that’s where the story takes a turn. When you’re into maps you naturally are drawn to things like Geography classes and it was there that I started to look at two different aspects of Geography. Human geography and urban geography. I started enjoying the layout of spaces and cities and the people that inhabit them. Cities are diverse and that is what makes it so exciting to study.
I branched out from geography to major in Urban Studies and eventually also get a certificate in GIS (Geographic Information Systems). Pretty much what I liked , urban planning and the tools used in urban planning, maps.
After College I ended just working retail, but not just any retail. I started working at Crate and Barrel. At Crate, as the employees call it, I did everything from sales, stock room, inventory, and merchandising design. It was here that I started to really hone my…
