Hello World!
It’s official — I am now one of those older (almost 45), single (divorced 7 years ago), childless (I did want kids but alas, my body didn’t agree) women that society seems to be very concerned about.
To take that up a notch, I’m also not just a Crazy Cat Lady but a Crazy Pet Lady because I have cats and dogs! And yes, I do love them like my own children.
My best friends and I recently celebrated joint birthdays and we decided to ask each other: “How is life different from what you expected?”
It was a surprisingly poignant question. And to share more about where I am now, I’ll need to go back 20 years, to a time when my entire life trajectory was completely different.
So how does life now compare to 20 years ago?
Well, when I was 25, I was newly married to my college sweetheart. We’d just bought a flat together and turned it into our cosy, happy little heaven on earth.
