About Me — Junior
A simple local short story about me
In Nigeria, a young boy named junior discovered his passion for storytelling at an early age. Growing up in a vibrant community, i was surrounded by rich cultural narratives and traditions that sparked his imagination. I spent my afternoons writing short stories, often inspired by the tales i heard from my grandparents and the colorful characters i encountered in my neighborhood.
My love for writing was complemented by my fascination with movies. I would often watch Nollywood and films and international blockbusters, analyzing the plots, characters, and cinematography. This combination of writing and filmmaking fueled my creativity, as I began to merge his two passions. I started creating screenplays for short films, dreaming of one day seeing my stories brought to life on the big screen.
I also shared my creative journey with my pet dog, Tola, who would curl up at my feet as he worked on my stories. Despite being an only child, i considered my close friends in the neighborhood as siblings, forming a tight-knit bond that encouraged my artistic pursuits. With the support of my "siblings" and the companionship of Tola, Junior’s writing and filmmaking endeavors flourished, showcasing the importance of community and connection in pursuing one’s dreams.
P.S keep in mind this is just a part of my story and I’m also interested in many other things life has to offer 😉 thanks for reading my story.
