MY PROFILE
About Me — Jussi Luukkonen
I bring the best out in people — including me.
I was born in 1956 in the tiny and picturesque village of Vilppula in central Finland. It was a time that saw the migration of the population from an agricultural to an urban way of life in Finland. In record time, the country transformed from a sleepy rural society into a buzzing industrial high-tech powerhouse.
My parents were hard-working farmers. I was the youngest of three children and thus left alone to read and wander around the farm while the others busied themselves with their daily routines.
I sensed that the world was wider than our family fields and developed a strong desire to one day travel and live in a distant land with no snow!
For a country boy like me, it was an unusual aspiration that made my parents anxious — but it became a solid determination to see the world.
There were three points of profound realizations before my teenage years, which I described in one of my earlier articles. Please, read it from the link below if you are interested in seeing what experiences made me the person I am.
