Silicon Valley, California

Born and raised in San Jose, California, before it was Silicon Valley. Looking back, I feel very blessed to have seen and lived in that different era of the San Francisco Bay Area. Remembering the farmlands and orchards, our mom used to take us out to the fields and the farmers would let local kids glean whatever produce we could find after harvest. I can still smell the rotten tomatoes baking in the sun.

Higher Education

I never went to college.

I made a lot of mistakes along my journey of trying to navigate life. Eventually, I got my foot in the door as a receptionist in a semiconductor company and I finally discovered my smarts! This was around 1988, just before the internet. That job played a huge role in my life, helping me to discover myself and my capabilities.
